About AmerinRio Today

We started out in collaboration with a Samba School in Rio de Janeiro after months of talks and discussions to and from Brazil we finalized our incorporation and we're registered as a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization on March 7, 2006.

We've been working hard in Brazil and the United States to improve lives.

Today we are working diligently in Brazil, through out the U.S. and many other countries helping where we can to improve lives. Through health care, nourishing food, education,  and many other programs.

We are funded only by individuals such as yourself, and fundraising through GoFundMe and PayPal Giving Fund. 

Our programs are very simple and our volunteers are the greatest. Without our donor base we couldn't afford the pricey airline tickets to get them to some of the most isolated places you can imagine.

AmerinRio Mission Statement (Updated, Feb 24, 2025):

AmerinRio, founded in 2006 by Donald McElfresh and Cristina Oliveira, is dedicated to ending homelessness and transforming lives, with an urgent focus on solving the global crisis of 100 million street children—small kids to teens fending for themselves worldwide. Through our housing programs and innovative initiatives, we aim to provide shelter, food, education, and security, breaking the cycle of poverty for these vulnerable youth.
Our bold new initiative, ‘Rise From the Streets,’ launched via https://risefromthestreets.org is the largest donation request in history—$100 billion over 10 years to save 100 million kids, starting with $10 million in year one. We’re raising $50,000 now to free our CEO, Cristina Oliveira, to lead this mission full-time, supported by my $200 pledge from my $1,400/month Social Security. Together, we’ll house, educate, and empower these children to lead humanity forward.
